James Earl Jones said Hollywood was not his greatest honor. He said helping bring the New Testament to life mattered more. That should terrify a fame-obsessed culture.
Scripture never promises legacy through applause. It warns, “What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul” (Mark 8:36). Jones chose stewardship over spotlight.
Translation work is not glamorous, but it feeds generations. “The word of our God will stand forever” (Isaiah 40:8). Hollywood fades. Obedience echoes.
