Tennessee Declares June 2026 Nuclear Family Month

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee has signed a resolution officially designating June 2026 as “Nuclear Family Month” in the state of Tennessee. The measure defines the nuclear family as one husband, one wife, and their biological, adopted, or foster children, and describes the family as the foundational building block of a healthy society. The resolution passed the Tennessee House by a vote of 72-18 and the Senate by 26-4 before being signed by the governor.

The resolution is intended to affirm the importance of strong families, faithful parenting, and the values that have helped communities flourish for generations. The resolution states that the nuclear family is “God’s design for familial structure” and emphasizes the role of fathers and mothers in raising children.
