New Zealand pastor Peter Mortlock shared that “many, many thousands of Christians” gathered at Spark Arena in Auckland for the annual “Open Heaven” event, a large-scale worship and prayer gathering focused on interceding for the city and the nation.
In a social media post following the event, Mortlock wrote that participants came together to pray for Auckland and for New Zealand, adding, “It certainly needs prayer!” Video from the night shows a packed arena with worship music, corporate prayer and a stage filled with worship leaders.
“Open Heaven” is known as a nationwide Christian gathering centered on unity, worship and prayer, drawing believers from across the country to seek spiritual renewal and pray over social and national issues.
