Tim Tebow announced that his father has died, sharing the loss through a message filled with Christian hope and confidence about Heaven. “Heaven ushered in a hero of the faith last night as my Dad was welcomed home!” Tebow wrote. He added, “Many will say sorry for your loss but the truth is he’s not lost, we know exactly where he is. He’s home. Forever!”
Tebow said he recently asked his father what he was most looking forward to about Heaven, and his answer was simple: “Jesus.” Reflecting on that moment, Tebow wrote, “He couldn’t wait to see Jesus face to face.” He then added, “Praise God that his wait is over. Death has been swallowed up in victory. He’s healed and whole now.”
Even in mourning, Tebow emphasized the hope of faith. “So we don’t mourn as those with no hope,” he wrote. He closed his tribute with a final message to his father: “See you soon Dad!”
