Tim Tebow’s Calling to Protect Children

Tim Tebow said his mission to rescue victims of child sexual exploitation comes from a calling he believes God placed on his life.

“I believe it’s what God’s called me to,” Tebow said, recalling how his father once helped purchase the freedom of four girls who were being sold. He called child exploitation “one of the worst evils in the world” and warned that it is not only happening overseas but “in every neighborhood right here in America.”

Tebow also stressed the need for men to take responsibility, saying, “Men have to step up and stand up and be the men that we’re called and created to be to protect, not exploit.” He described the crisis as a spiritual battle between good and evil.

Explaining his motivation, Tebow said, “With the little strength that I have, it wasn’t to carry a football, but to be able to lift up these image-bearers of our Creator and bring them to a place of protection, hope and love.”

He acknowledged the work is painful but necessary: “It is uncomfortable… but we have to be willing to be uncomfortable so these boys and girls can be comfortable.”
