After leading Alabama to a comeback victory after trailing by 17 points, quarterback Ty Simpson began his postgame interview by giving credit to his faith.
“First off, I want to say thank you to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,” Simpson said. “Just getting us here has been awesome, and we couldn’t do it without Him.”
Simpson said the team’s confidence in key moments played a major role in the comeback. He pointed to the trust the coaches placed in the offense and the players’ belief in one another when facing critical fourth-down situations.
“It’s been like that all year,” Simpson said, describing the team’s approach as situational football combined with confidence and execution.
