Wisconsin Teen Sentenced in Parents’ Murders Tied to Trump Assassination Plot

An 18-year-old Wisconsin man, Nikita Casap, has been sentenced to two life terms in prison without the possibility of parole after admitting he murdered his mother and stepfather as part of a larger plot tied to an attempted assassination of President Donald Trump. Prosecutors say Casap killed his parents to gain money and freedom to carry out the plan, which reportedly involved using a drone carrying explosives. After the murders, he allegedly lived in the home with their bodies for nearly two weeks before fleeing the state with cash and valuables. He was later arrested during a traffic stop in Kansas and ultimately pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree intentional homicide. A judge handed down the life sentence, citing the calculated nature of the crime and the broader assassination plot.
