Franklin Graham Calls America to Prayer Before 250th

A man holding a Bible in front of a packed arena just said what a lot of pastors will not say from their own pulpits. Franklin Graham is in the middle of a 50-day prayer campaign leading up to America’s 250th birthday on July 4, calling pastors from all 50 states to lift this country before God every single day at noon. “Two and a half centuries since our founding, the United States is at a crossroads. The America of 2026 is vastly different than the country that our forefathers established. The spiritual climate of our country has decayed, and we need to turn to God in repentance.” Those are not the words of a man chasing applause. Those are the words of a man who has watched his father preach to presidents and crowds of millions, and who now sees the same nation drifting from the very foundation that made all of it possible. Graham is not asking Christians to win a culture war with louder voices. He is asking them to do something far harder. Get on their knees. Open the Book. Repent first, before pointing fingers. The Bible is unmistakable about what happens when a nation forgets the God who blessed it. Pride rises, morality falls, families fracture, and the very freedoms that once flowed from faith begin to leak out the bottom of the bucket. The pattern in Scripture is consistent from Judges to Kings to the prophets. A nation drifts, a remnant prays, God responds. Notice the order. The prayer comes before the rescue. The repentance comes before the revival. “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14. That promise was not given to politicians. It was given to His people. The healing of a nation has never started in a courtroom or a campaign. It has always started in a prayer closet. America does not need more arguments. It needs more knees on the floor. What would change in this country if every Christian who claims the name of Jesus actually prayed like the next 50 days mattered? #america #prayer #faith
