Jaden Ivey Waived After Pride Month Comments

Jaden Ivey was reportedly waived by the Chicago Bulls after comments he made criticizing the league’s Pride Month messaging.

The team cited “conduct detrimental to the team.”

During an Instagram Live, Ivey called the messaging “unrighteousness,” saying it promoted what he believes is sin. Hours later, he was released.

He later responded:

“They say my conduct is detrimental… ask the coaches if I was a good teammate. I’m just preaching Jesus Christ.”

This story goes beyond basketball—it sits at the intersection of faith, culture, and consequence.

Ivey, a former top-five pick, still receives his $10.1M salary—but the bigger conversation is about conviction.

As John 15:18 says: “If the world hates you, remember it hated me first.”

The real question remains—was this about team conduct, or standing firm in belief?
