Secretary of State Marco Rubio just terminated the green cards of the son, daughter-in-law, and grandson of Masoumeh Ebtekar — known as “Screaming Mary” — the spokeswoman for the Islamic terrorists who stormed the U.S. Embassy in Tehran in 1979, holding 52 Americans hostage for 444 days. Those Americans endured beatings, starvation, and mock executions.
The Obama administration granted her son’s family visas in 2014. Two years later they received lawful permanent resident status through the Diversity Visa Program. Rubio also separately revoked the green cards of two relatives of slain Iranian general Qasem Soleimani who had been living in Los Angeles.
Rubio’s statement was direct: America can never become home for anti-American terrorists or their families. Under this administration, it never will.
For decades the American government opened its doors to the families of people who tortured its citizens. A nation that cannot protect its own people from the families of their tormentors has forgotten what justice means.
Proverbs 21:15 says: “When justice is done, it brings joy to the righteous but terror to evildoers.”
Justice delayed is not justice denied forever. Sometimes it just takes 46 years.
What do you think — should the families of known terrorists ever have been given legal status in America? #america #justice #accountability
