Tim Tebow walked into the United States Senate this spring to fight for children who cannot fight for themselves.
The former Heisman Trophy winner and founder of the Tim Tebow Foundation testified before the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Counterterrorism, urging lawmakers to pass the bipartisan Renewed Hope Act of 2026. The bill would create a dedicated team of more than 200 analysts, investigators, and forensic specialists within Homeland Security Investigations to identify and rescue children who have been victims of exploitation. Senator Josh Hawley, who chairs the subcommittee, called child trafficking a scourge on our society and said Congress must dismantle the networks that prey on the most vulnerable.
Tebow framed his calling in a single sentence that has stayed with me. He said he spent too much of his life chasing the wrong MVP, and now he wants to spend the rest of it fighting for the most vulnerable people. That is what a life surrendered to Christ actually looks like.
Scripture is unmistakable on this. Jesus said that whoever welcomes one such child in His name welcomes Him, and warned that anyone who causes one of these little ones to stumble would be better off with a millstone hung around his neck. God sees every child. He hears every cry. And He calls His people to stand in the gap.
The Renewed Hope Act has bipartisan support and has already cleared House committee markup. It now waits on the Senate.
Pray that this bill becomes law. Pray for the investigators doing this work. Pray for every child waiting to be found.
