A shooter opened fire at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in British Columbia on Tuesday, killing at least 10 people and injuring dozens in the deadliest school shooting in Canadian history.
Six victims were found inside the school, two at a nearby home, and one died en route to the hospital. The suspected shooter — believed to be a teenage male who identified as transgender — was found dead inside the school from a self-inflicted injury. Police say there are no additional suspects.
Students were locked down for hours as teachers barricaded doors. Schools in the small community of 2,400 people will remain closed for the rest of the week, and trauma counselors are being sent in.
Pray for all students and families affected…
