Amelia Van Der Beek, the daughter of actor James Van Der Beek, said she speaks to her dad every day, telling him she loves and misses him, believing he can still hear her.
Reflecting her faith, Amelia said she believes her father is “in heaven… above the clouds with God and the Lord,” no longer in pain.
She also reminded others not to blame themselves for loss, to allow themselves to cry, and to keep believing in miracles and God’s purpose, saying that even after death, loved ones may still have “work to do on the other side.”
