A national initiative called America Reads the Bible will host a seven-day public reading of the entire Bible at the Museum of the Bible from April 18–25, 2026, as the United States approaches its 250th anniversary.
Around 500 celebrities, ministry leaders, pastors and public officials are expected to participate, including Patricia Heaton, Candace Cameron Bure, Greg Abbott, and Franklin Graham.
Founded by Bunni Pounds, the event aims to unite Americans around the public reading of Scripture and encourage spiritual reflection ahead of the nation’s milestone anniversary.
The readings will cover Genesis to Revelation and will be livestreamed nationwide by Great American Pure Flix.
