“America Reads the Bible,” a weeklong event in Washington, D.C., will gather over 480 leaders to read Scripture from Genesis to Revelation.
Organizer Bunni Pounds said the vision came from an “encounter with the Lord,” calling it an “Ezra moment” because many Americans have “forgotten who we are” without Scripture.
Held at the Museum of the Bible and streamed nationwide, she believes that “faith actually rises” when God’s Word is proclaimed.
The goal is simple: inspire a nation to return to God’s Word and raise leaders “firmly grounded” in it for the future.
