U.S. Army Reserve Sgt. 1st Class Noah Tietjens, 42, of Bellevue, Nebraska, was killed in a drone attack at the Port of Shuaiba in Kuwait on March 1, 2026.
A wheeled vehicle mechanic who enlisted in the Army Reserve in 2006, Tietjens had previously deployed to Kuwait in 2009 and 2019 and earned several honors, including the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal and Army Achievement Medal.
Known as a supportive mentor to fellow soldiers, he was also a Taekwondo black belt instructor and devoted husband and father.
