Beth Moore Calls SBC to Clarify Women’s Role in Ministry

Beth Moore is urging Southern Baptist leaders to stop focusing only on what women cannot do and start giving clear answers about how women can faithfully serve the Church. In a public statement, she said the real issue is not women trying to take over pulpits, but whether gifted women will be allowed to flourish in the ways God has called them.

Moore said she has never fought for women to replace male senior pastors. Instead, she wants women in SBC churches to be able to teach the Bible, serve their communities, use their spiritual gifts, and proclaim the Gospel without being pushed aside by vague restrictions.

Her message is now resonating with many Christian women who are asking the same question Moore raised directly: if God has gifted women by His Spirit, what place will the Church make for their service?
