Brad Arnold Remembered for Faith and Hope

Tributes are pouring in for Brad Arnold, lead singer of 3 Doors Down, who died Saturday at 47 after a “courageous” battle with stage-four kidney cancer.

When he shared his diagnosis last year, he was honest: it had “metastasized into my lungs… and that’s not real good.” But his faith never wavered. “We serve a mighty God… so I have no fear. I really sincerely am not scared of it at all.”

He apologized for canceling tour dates and simply asked, “I’d love for you to lift me up in prayer,” reminding fans, “God loves you.”

At concerts, Arnold often paused to preach hope, pushing back against the lie that we’re “never good enough.” He told crowds, “You are loved. You are enough… because Jesus Christ loves you.”

More than a rock voice, he’ll be remembered for boldly pointing people to Jesus.
