NFL Hall of Famer Brett Favre is shutting down reports claiming he has “given up hope” while battling Parkinson’s disease.
“Contrary to reports, I have not given up hope,” Favre wrote on X. “Just like I never gave up on the gridiron, not going to start now.” He added that he continues to pray for a cure and is thankful for the support he’s received.
Favre also told TMZ Sports, “I have absolutely not given up and I am fighting till the end,” responding to a viral post that falsely claimed his condition was rapidly declining.
Favre revealed in 2024 that he was diagnosed with Idiopathic Parkinson’s. While there is no cure, he says his symptoms are being managed and his outlook remains hopeful.
