Bunnie Xo, the wife of Christian-leaning artist Jelly Roll, recently shared that she and her husband consider themselves “baby Christians” as they grow in their faith.
Speaking on “TODAY,” she reflected on Jelly Roll’s viral Grammy speech in which he thanked Jesus and credited both God and his wife with transforming his life. Bunnie said their journey has been one of healing and growth, emphasizing that they are continually “leveling up” and becoming better people together.
Though both strayed from their Christian upbringings—he from a Methodist background and she from a Southern Pentecostal one—Bunnie said they are now returning to their faith and openly declaring their love for Jesus.
Calling themselves “a work in progress,” she stressed that while they are not perfect or role models, they hope their story shows that if God can work through them, He can work through anyone.
