More than 4,500 fans gathered in Charlotte for ChosenCon, the annual convention celebrating the hit series The Chosen. Cast members met fans, participated in panels and reflected on the show’s impact as it approaches its planned seven-season conclusion.
Actor Paras Patel said the event is a chance to thank supporters who helped the series grow globally. With Season 6, focused on the crucifixion, on the way and Season 7 set to be the final chapter, Patel described the moment as “bittersweet.”
He added that playing Matthew has deepened his understanding of Jesus, saying the show’s portrayal of Christ’s humanity — His love, humor and compassion — gives people a sense of purpose and belonging.
