Christian Crackdown Intensifies in Yemen

More than 50 Christians were arrested and 43 abducted by Houthi rebels in Yemen in January 2026 alone.

Believers were reportedly taken from the streets to undisclosed locations, where they were interrogated and tortured for information about other Christians.

Daniel Hodge, a Yemen expert with Open Doors, said the crackdown has created widespread fear, with many fleeing the area out of concern they could be targeted next.
