In a powerful reflection on life, death, and eternity, Phil Robertson reminded us that for a Christian, death is not loss—it’s arrival. What the world calls “the end,” he called making it home, where the soul is with Jesus forever. This perspective changes everything.
“One of these days, I’m going to depart from you. You’re going to pick up a newspaper or look on that little black box and it’s going to say, Bill Robertson has died. And some will cry and some will leap with joy.
But just remember this, I didn’t pass away. Listen, when you die, because you know you’re in heaven, your soul, your spirit is in heaven with Jesus. That’s way better than being down here and fighting all this stuff on every angle.
You say, you know, you made it. That’s what physical death gives you. You know, you made it.”
