A shooting at Tumbler Ridge Secondary School in British Columbia left 10 people dead, including the suspect and two victims found at a nearby home. Another victim died while being transported to the hospital.
More than 25 people were injured, including two airlifted with life-threatening wounds. Police say the suspect died from a self-inflicted injury, and a motive has not been released.
The small community of about 2,700 people is reeling. Mayor Darryl Krakowka called it “devastating,” while Prime Minister Mark Carney said he was “devastated” and suspended travel plans.
