Despite fame, wealth, and decades of success, Donnie Wahlberg says he recently realized something was still missing: Jesus.
In an emotional interview, the actor and singer shared that after spending nearly 40 years believing he had “all the answers,” he finally reached a breaking point and admitted, “I can’t do it anymore without Him.”
Wahlberg said that from the outside, his life looked perfect — “a wonderful wife, wonderful kids… everything” — yet inside he felt empty and lonely. He confessed, “I was empty without Him,” saying no amount of worldly success could fill what only Christ can.
That turning point came after finishing a major Las Vegas show, when he told his wife Jenny McCarthy, “I have to connect with Jesus. I have to give my life to Him now.” He also shared learning one of the hardest lessons of surrender: God must come first, even before anyone else.
When asked why he believes he will go to heaven, Wahlberg answered simply: “Because Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, and it’s by His grace.” He now says he is at the beginning of “the most important relationship” of his life.
