Donnie Wahlberg is bringing his new faith into music.
The New Kids on the Block star joined Forrest Frank’s viral open verse challenge for “Jesus Is Alive,” adding a rap verse about sin, grace, Scripture, and Christ’s return.
Wahlberg recently said he had reached a low point in life and told his wife Jenny McCarthy, “I have to connect with Jesus. I have to give my life to him now.” He also said he is only saved “because Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior, and it’s by his grace.”
His verse echoes that new commitment, declaring, “Jesus washed every sin in my past” and warning listeners to “Obey the Son.” He ends with a bold reminder: “He’s coming—BACK!”
McCarthy encouraged him to join the challenge, even though Wahlberg joked that he had “quit rapping.” The video has since gained millions of views across social media.
