Elon Musk sparked widespread discussion after posting on X, “I agree with the teachings of Jesus,” in response to a user who said someone should evangelize him.
The comment quickly gained tens of thousands of reactions. While some encouraged Musk to embrace Christianity more fully, others debated what he meant.
Musk has made similar remarks before. In interviews with Jordan Peterson, Tucker Carlson, and Alice Weidel, he has praised the teachings of Jesus, described himself as a “cultural Christian,” and said “I grew up Christian, I was Anglican, was baptized, went to Sunday school”.
He has also referred to the universe’s origin as “The Creator” and warned that Western civilization would struggle without Christianity.
