President Donald Trump emphasized the central role of faith in America’s identity, calling the nation to return to God ahead of its 250th anniversary.
At the National Prayer Breakfast, he announced a national event, “Rededicate 250,” inviting Americans to gather in prayer and thanksgiving, and highlighted initiatives like “America Prays” to encourage spiritual renewal across the country.
Trump framed faith as a unifying and sustaining power, declaring that “all of us are made free and equal by the hand of our Creator,” and repeatedly stressed that “prayer is America’s superpower.”
He also underscored efforts to protect religious freedom, support public expressions of faith, and defend Christians both in the U.S. and abroad.
