Carrie Prejean Boller says her removal from a U.S. Religious Liberty Commission post came after she refused to compromise her Catholic faith and convictions.
In an open letter to President Donald Trump, she argued that her questions about antisemitism and the war in Gaza were rooted in Catholic teaching and her belief in the dignity of every human life.
Prejean said her Christian faith compelled her to speak out for suffering civilians and to defend what she believes is the Church’s teaching that Jesus Christ fulfills the Old Covenant. She insisted she could not support political or theological ideas that contradict her faith, even if it cost her position.
Throughout the letter, Prejean emphasized that her identity as a follower of Christ is more important than any title or appointment. She said she is willing to stand alone if necessary, declaring that her duty is to defend religious liberty and remain faithful to Christ.
