In a recent interview with CBN News, Franklin Graham said the United States is facing a deep spiritual crisis, warning that the nation has “fallen so far from God and His truth.” He pointed to cultural confusion, unrest in American cities, and growing global instability as signs that “the world is about to implode.”
Calling for a national moment of prayer and repentance, Graham stressed that the answer is not political but spiritual. “First of all, we need to repent as a nation,” he said, adding that repentance must begin with personal sin, not just national failures. He urged Christians to pray for leaders, emphasizing that “whether you voted for him or not, he’s our president,” and that the decisions leaders make affect everyone.
Addressing concerns about prophecy and the end times, Graham said many believers feel “we’re in those last days,” though no one knows how long they will last. He warned against complacency, saying Christians must be spiritually prepared because “Christ could return at any minute.” Rather than fearing world events, he encouraged believers to focus on sharing the gospel and staying faithful.
Graham also underscored the power of prayer, calling it “our opportunity to go directly into the presence of Almighty God.” He urged believers to seek God’s will above their own, saying, “Let’s don’t be guilty of not praying,” and to ask God to forgive, heal, and guide the nation.
