On Palm Sunday, Donald Trump shared a personal letter he received from evangelist Franklin Graham, and it wasn’t just praise—it was a clear Gospel message.
Graham did commend Trump’s leadership, calling his peace efforts “incredible accomplishments” and even “an answer to prayer.” But then he got very direct: “You can’t save yourself… I can’t save myself.”
He reminded Trump that no amount of success—“good works, prominence, [and] success”—can get anyone into Heaven. The only way, he said, is through Jesus Christ: “The only way to Heaven is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ.”
Graham pointed to Trump’s own comment that he might not be “heaven bound,” urging him to take it seriously: “It is an important issue to know for certain that your soul is secure.”
