Friendly-Fire Incident Downs U.S. F-15Es Over Kuwait

Three U.S. F-15E fighter jets were mistakenly shot down over Kuwait late Sunday during an apparent friendly-fire incident, U.S. Central Command confirmed.

The aircraft were targeted by Kuwaiti air defenses amid intense regional combat involving Iranian aircraft, missiles, and drones on the third day of the escalating U.S.-Israel conflict with Iran. All six crew members safely ejected and were recovered in stable condition.

Kuwait acknowledged the incident and has launched an investigation. The confusion unfolded as fighting spread across the region, with Iran launching missile and drone attacks on multiple Middle Eastern countries and U.S.-linked military sites.

The broader conflict, sparked by U.S. airstrikes on Iran under “Operation Epic Fury,” has so far left four U.S. service members dead and several others wounded.
