Nine months ago, Melanie Rivas was homeless, broke, and sitting in her car with pills in her hand, ready to end her life. After fleeing what she calls a “very controlling and very toxic” same-sex marriage, she says, “My ex-wife stole all my money… So I had nothing.”
She had tried everything — drugs, witchcraft, therapy. “Nothing worked.” Then a strange email prompted her to go buy a book. With just five dollars, she found a $1 New Testament at Walmart. “You can’t even get a candy bar for a dollar,” she thought.
She opened it in her car — and says she felt God instantly. “It was like I got this warm feeling… I genuinely felt the Holy Spirit.” That moment “completely transformed” her life.
Now baptized and sharing her faith online, her following has grown rapidly. Her message: the world’s promises lead to destruction — but Jesus brings real peace. “He’ll completely transform your life.”
