A Georgia math teacher, Jason Hughes, 40, died after a senior prank outside his home went tragically wrong. He leaves behind his wife and two young sons.
Five North Hall High School students had come to toilet-paper his house, but as they tried to leave, Hughes slipped on the road and was accidentally run over by a car driven by an 18-year-old student.
The driver now faces vehicular homicide charges, though Hughes’ wife has asked authorities to drop the charges, saying her husband devoted his life to helping students and would not want their futures ruined.
