Jeffress Praises Trump’s Iran Stance in Easter Remarks

Pastor Robert Jeffress said that after the Iran conflict began, he met with Donald Trump and thanked him for his “courage in confronting an evil” he believes threatens “America, Israel, and the entire world.”

Addressing criticism of Trump’s threats to Iran in Easter message, Jeffress said critics miss the context: “he’s not a third-grade Sunday school teacher… he’s the president,” adding that leaders sometimes use “salty language.”

While Iranian officials pushed back, warning they would “reciprocate” and calling Trump “unstable”, Jeffress rejected those claims, describing the president as “sly as a fox.”

He also pointed to Trump’s Easter message, calling it “the strongest and clearest expression” of Easter faith he’s seen from any U.S. president.
