Actress Jen Lilley says her true measure of success is what God thinks of her life. Lilley described the Holy Spirit as her “very best friend,” emphasizing that her faith is not superficial but deeply personal.
Her relationship with God began at just nine years old after her family started attending an Episcopalian church. A pivotal moment came when she read the story of Elijah and the widow in 1 Kings 17.
Sitting in her parents’ basement with a children’s Bible and a yellow crayon, she carefully highlighted each line she read — an experience she still vividly remembers as transformative.
Lilley shared that prayer has been central to her life since childhood. She now encourages believers to invite the Holy Spirit into their daily Bible reading, describing Him as counselor and teacher who gives understanding to those who ask.
