Hollywood actress Jen Lilley shared Gospel-themed videos explaining why Easter is so meaningful to her, calling it a powerful reminder of God’s love and adoption of believers as His children.
She drew parallels between the Jewish Passover and Jesus’ crucifixion. Just as families brought lambs into Jerusalem to be inspected and sacrificed — with people waving palm branches — Jesus entered Jerusalem to similar praise before His death.
Lilley also noted that after the Passover lamb was sacrificed, the High Priest would say, “It is finished,” echoing Jesus’ words on the cross in John 19:30. She said Easter reveals Christ as both the perfect Passover Lamb and the High Priest who brings salvation and new life.
