For seven years, Jessica Rose lived as a man named Aden, believing that becoming more masculine would help her escape the pain and wounds of her past.
But after years of confusion and brokenness, she said the turning point came when someone shared the gospel with her. “Someone told me that God loved me,” Jessica said. “That changed everything.” As she surrendered her life to Christ, she began embracing her biological identity as a woman and seeking help to care for her body again.
That help came through Alternatives Pregnancy Center in Sacramento, where Jessica said she was met with truth, patience, and compassion. “They cared about my life to go slow with me, to educate me, and to love me,” she said.
