John Cleese is speaking out about Britain’s Christian roots, saying the nation has been shaped by “Christian values at the deepest level.”
He warned that if those values are replaced, “this will not be Britain any more,” expressing concern about growing Islamic influence and cultural shifts.
The comments come amid debates over redefining “Islamophobia” in the U.K. and concerns from some Christians that free speech, especially around faith, could be restricted.
