Jonathan Roumie says his response would be immediate if he knew Jesus was returning tonight: “On my knees in prayer.” Speaking during the 2026 K-LOVE Fan Awards, the The Chosen actor also asked supporters to keep praying for the cast and crew as the series moves toward its final season.
Roumie said portraying Jesus has never been just about performance, but about a deeper relationship with Christ. As filming continues through the Passion and toward the resurrection, he said the team needs continued prayer to finish strong and stay spiritually grounded.
He also made clear that the mission of The Chosen goes beyond the screen. “It never ends,” Roumie said. “Jesus never leaves you.”
