Karoline Leavitt Welcomes Baby Girl While Serving as Press Secretary

Karoline Leavitt announced Thursday that she has welcomed her second child, daughter Viviana “Vivi,” becoming the first White House press secretary to give birth while serving in the role.

“On May 1st, Vivi joined our family, and our hearts instantly exploded with love,” Leavitt wrote on Instagram, adding that her baby girl is “perfect and healthy.”

The 28-year-old, already the youngest press secretary in U.S. history, recently joked during her final briefing before maternity leave, “I hope and pray that this is the last time I speak to you for some time.”
