Kid Rock is defending his decision to headline Turning Point USA’s “All-American Halftime Show,” saying it’s not about hate — it’s about love.
Speaking on Fox & Friends, he said, “None of us are approaching this with any hate in our hearts at all. It’s just a love for our base and love for music, our country.”
He added that many conservative Americans feel “underserved entertainment-wise,” and that the show is for “people who love America, love football, love Jesus.”
The alternative halftime show will stream during the Super Bowl game between the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots, airing at the same time as the NFL’s official performance.
