Grammy-winning Christian singer Lauren Daigle revealed that a music industry executive once questioned her commitment to Christianity despite her mainstream success, asking, “You’re a superstar. Why do you have to be Christian?”
Daigle said she understood the suggestion that her career could go even further if she distanced herself from her faith, but she remains committed to sharing a Christian message through her music.
Speaking at the K-LOVE Fan Awards, Daigle acknowledged facing pressure from both Christian and secular audiences but said staying authentic has helped her navigate those expectations.
The two-time Grammy winner, whose crossover hit You Say brought her widespread recognition, said she values her faith more than the opportunities that might come from abandoning her Christian identity.
