Maltese Court Acquits Matthew Grech in Conversion Practices Case

Matthew Grech was found not guilty by a Maltese court after facing more than three years of legal battles for allegedly promoting “conversion practices.”

The charges stemmed from a 2022 interview in which Grech shared his Christian testimony about leaving homosexuality after coming to faith and discussed his views on laws banning conversion therapy.

Grech appeared in court 17 times and faced possible fines or jail time, but the court ruled he had the right to express his Christian beliefs about sexuality and gender, affirming freedom of speech and religion.
