U.S. tensions with Iran are escalating as about 2,500 U.S. Marines deploy to the Middle East amid ongoing strikes and regional conflict.
The fighting has caused heavy casualties: more than 1,300 deaths reported in Iran, 773 in Lebanon (including over 100 children), and 12 in Israel. Meanwhile, a Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker crash in Iraq killed six crew members, raising U.S. military deaths in Operation Epic Fury to at least 13.
