Evangelist Franklin Graham is calling Christians across the United States to pause for prayer and repentance this Wednesday, January 14, at 12:00 p.m. ET, urging believers to seek God amid what he described as growing turmoil in the nation.
In a public message, Graham warned that America is facing increasing violence, hatred, crime, drug abuse, and hopelessness, and said the nation has turned away from God by embracing secularism. He called on Americans to humble themselves, repent of national sins, and ask God for forgiveness and healing.
Graham also encouraged prayer for national leaders, for peace in the streets, and for efforts to sow division and destruction to be thwarted. He urged believers to ask God to use His Church as an instrument of peace during a time of deep uncertainty.
“Millions of people remembering our sins and asking for forgiveness, repenting, and seeking His face will make a difference,” Graham said, emphasizing that collective prayer can bring spiritual renewal and national healing.
