NBA free agent Jaden Ivey began preaching in Chicago shortly after being waived by the Chicago Bulls for “conduct detrimental to the team,” following his criticism of the NBA’s Pride Month as “unrighteousness.”
In a viral clip, Ivey shares Scripture—“Blessed are the pure in heart”—while supporters praise his bold faith. Pastor Jordan Wells said, “He didn’t fold…He calls it preaching the Gospel,” adding, “Jaden chose Jesus over the league,” while Josh Howerton wrote, “Obey God rather than men.”
Ivey denied wrongdoing, asking, “What did I do to the team?” and insisted, “All I’m preaching about is Jesus Christ…they waived me,” calling the team’s explanation “a lie.”
