More than 300 suspects were arrested and 40 children rescued during “Operation Firewall,” a major Southern California crackdown on online child exploitation crimes led by the Los Angeles Police Department.
The operation targeted online grooming, child pornography, trafficking, and attempts to lure minors through social media and gaming platforms. Authorities said 341 arrests were made across five counties, and more than 150,000 illicit images were uncovered.
Officials warned parents that predators increasingly target children online. U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli said, “Get your kids off the internet. Nothing good comes from it.”
