Pastor Calls for Repentance After Church Protest Disruption

Rev. Jonathan Parnell, lead pastor of Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, urged state leaders and protesters who recently disrupted his congregation to repent and trust in Jesus Christ, saying “He is our only hope.”

Parnell spoke on Fox & Friends after a group of anti-ICE activists, accompanied by former CNN host Don Lemon, stormed a Jan. 18 service to protest a church pastor who also serves as acting director of the ICE St. Paul field office.

The disruption ended the service and, according to DHS filings, left children and families traumatized.

Parnell said the chaos in the Twin Cities can only be healed through the Gospel, “My message to those agitators, my message to the governor of our state, to the state attorney general, to both mayors of our cities, turn from your SIN, trust in Jesus Christ, and be saved. He is our only hope.”
