Catholic speaker Paul J. Kim shared that his 5-year-old son, Micah Joseph Kim, passed away on December 31, 2025, after 11 days of intense medical struggle.
In a moving video message, Kim described Micah’s death not as an end, but as a homecoming—trusting that his son is now alive in God’s presence and already “at work” interceding for others.
Kim expressed deep gratitude for the global outpouring of prayers, Masses, and support, saying his family felt carried by them during the darkest days.
He shared how Micah’s illness became a witness of faith inside the hospital, including the baptism of another critically ill baby at Micah’s bedside.
Though grieving, Kim emphasized hope, surrender to Christ, and confidence that God can bring real good even out of profound suffering.
